As a Worldwide Specialist Technical Leader for the Microsoft technology stack, you will help customers accelerate their adoption of AWS, and analyzing the technical aspects of building and migrating to AWS. You will also play a key role in working with the AWS Microsoft field community and AWS Service Teams to help them build the best cloud services on Earth. You will create content and speak publicly about the amazing things that our customers are doing on AWS. Additionally, you will engage with other Solutions Architects and the wider field of technology experts to bring your experience and expertise so they can better support our customers.

Your broad responsibilities include bringing globally scoped technical expertise of Microsoft workloads on AWS to the larger Microsoft field communities. These responsibilities include helping to set and drive the vision of the Microsoft Technical Field Community (TFC) in AWS. Partner with the Worldwide Microsoft SA team to bring the voice of the Microsoft TFC to the various AWS Service Teams. Work on the largest and most complex Microsoft workloads on AWS customer engagements.

Key job responsibilities

Develop mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness and scale of the AWS Microsoft Technical Field Community. Activities include working with the go-to-market and marketing teams on planning and execution of major events like regional summits, re:Inforce, and re:Invent. Educate the field community on the value proposition of Microsoft workloads on AWS. Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to the AWS field community and AWS's largest and most critical customers. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS customer facing field community. Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, and technical guides. Build deep relationships with the other AWS field communities and service teams to help bridge the gap between the communities. Act as a technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams and support.

About the team

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent

- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent

- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
