Northern Nevada State Veteran's Home is currently searching for a Wound Nurse RN/LPN to join our team!
Overview:
Coordinator of the center's wound team to oversee the general application of the skin management program.
Required Education and Experience
• Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
• Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
• Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and positively with staff, residents and family members.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
• Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Meet all health requirements, as required by law.
• Must be able capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
• Demonstrate understanding of State and Federal rules and regulations that govern the practices within the facility.
