Perform CT images at multiple facility locations to provide quality patient care under the guidance of a radiologist.

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
Job Requirements
General Requirements
• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography. Must obtain CT certification within one year of employment within the CT department. • Must be CPR certified. Minimum of AHA Heart Saver certification or BLS required.
Work Experience
• Minimum of two years' experience as a R.T.
Education
• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
• Demonstrate competence in assessing patient diagnosis and requested CT exam. • Trained in proper technique of injecting contrast media and procedures employed in the event of contrast reaction. • Adept at customer service. • Ability to work at multiple locations. • Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job.

- Provide patient positioning, injection or ingestion of contrast media, appropriate setting of computer techniques, demonstration of appropriate anatomy, collection of patient data, and compliance with sterile technique.
- Coordinate patient appointments with other diagnostic procedures.
- Communicate to the patient the entire process that the patient will undergo for CT examination.
- Skills and critical thinking to rapidly respond and perform CT's on trauma patients that may be severely injured.
- Experience performing higher tech procedures, such as CTA's, Coronary CT's & IR CT-guided procedures.
- Provide quality control measures in the use of the CT equipment.
- Store and maintain patient records on appropriate storage medium.
- Reschedule patients during down-time.
- Complete all computer data entry requirements to assure timely completion and availability of study for physician interpretation.
