Perfect Game USA, the premier provider of amateur baseball events, is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of YakkerTech Operator Intern. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the utilization of technology during baseball games. This technology captures critical data on player performance that aids in scouting and player development.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technologically savvy individual to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and managing YakkerTech baseball tracking technology during all games at fields where the technology is present.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate YakkerTech equipment during games to capture accurate and comprehensive baseball data.
• Ensure proper setup and calibration of the YakkerTech system before each use.
• Troubleshoot any issues with data collection or equipment.
• Collaborate with Perfect Game Staff to provide relevant data for player evaluations.
• Stay updated with the latest upgrades and innovations from YakkerTech and other relevant technologies.
• Record various baseball statistics including, but not limited to grip data, spin metrics, release speed, exit velocity, launch angle, batted ball profiles, etc...

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A strong interest in baseball analytics and a basic understanding of the sport.
• Good technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the baseball schedule.
• Available to start in June and work weekends.

Desired Skills:

• Passion for baseball and sports technology is a plus.
• Previous experience with data collection technologies in sports is a plus, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
