Qualifications:
  • Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Master's Degree or higher with an endorsement in Special Education
  • Three years of experience in teaching special education students
  • Knowledge of special education students

Essential Duties :
  • To serve as zone coordinator for the special education programs
  • To assist parents and teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs
  • To assist the Director of Special Education in the implementation of and compliance with the Individual with Disabilities Education Act, Part B
  • To provide instructional support to teachers
  • To perform other related duties as assigned
  • To establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
