A large university client is looking for an Asset Management Specialist to sit 5 days a week onsite in New Haven, CT. This Specialist will exclusively be working on the rollout of an Asset Management pilot project that is currently being piloted at the department level and will expand to the entire School of Medicine later this year. Overall, this Asset Management Specialist will support the project team from a technical aspect supporting clients and an administrative standpoint serving as the project assistant and subject matter expert for all questions on the pilot (How to order?, How to get a custom computer?). On a day-to-day basis, they will spend their time managing incoming equipment up to large bulk orders (i.e. ~100 laptops), handling the documentation and internal buying process for purchasing equipment from external vendors, barcoding and scanning assets to keep inventory up to date, developing standard operating procedures in ServiceNow for the tracking of inventory, and answering client questions surrounding the new procurement process.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of helpdesk experience, preferably on a large corporate IT team serving a large enterprise
At least 1 year of Asset Management, Inventory Control, or IT Procurement focused experience
Experience with ticketing and SOP documentation within ServiceNow
Patient team player with ability to deliver great end user service in person
Bachelors degree (or Associates with 6+ years, or High School with 8+ years)
