Description

The Assistant Information Technology (IT) Applications Specialist is responsible for resolving basic internal customer issues with design applications reported to us via phone, chat, web, online forums, and other channels. This position will support all Global Practices and Regional Offices nationwide.
  • Answer incoming calls, emails and chat sessions from internal clients to document minor issues.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and assist with troubleshooting critical issues that have been reported.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles.
  • Understand and follow internal IT processes.
  • Assist other team members with making follow-up calls regarding client problems.
  • Communicate progress, document issues and resolve problems for customers.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to section manager as required in a timely manner.
  • Remain informed on improvements in supported products relevant to the AEC industry.
  • Assist with deploying specialized applications for various business units.
  • Participate in application testing and provide feedback to the section manager, project manager or service owner.
  • Participate in the evaluation of specialized technologies.
  • Attend local user group meetings and conferences relevant to the AEC industry or Information Technology.
  • Provide peer to peer training for customers.
  • Benchmark hardware used for engineering design.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field required or Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement required.
  • Basic knowledge of Autodesk, Bentley or other engineering and design software suites in a production environment.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to ascertain customer concerns, consider alternatives and provide customers guidance.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner that enhances the customers' experience.
  • Organizational skills to interact with multiple customers with differing needs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
