Health and availability are fundamental to the organization protecting its assets and achieving our goals. With that, movement and function are crucial underpinnings to athletic performance ability. Our performance methodology seeks to maximize athletic development and create a transferrable impact on hockey performance while increasing durability. By applying objective measures within a process-driven system, we will best prepare our athletes for competition and recovery from injury.

This position will be a full-time travel position. This person will assist with providing rehabilitative care to all athletes as well as assisting medical staff with on-ice acute care and coverage. This role will coordinate medical coverage for games, events, and physicals, as well as maintain appropriate medical records. There will be close working collaborations among other departments including sports science and strength and conditioning to ensure proper alignment throughout the medical and performance departments.

Key Responsibilities


Deliver high-quality rehabilitative services for all players

Responsible for on-ice acute management and evaluation/treatment of injury once acute injury is stabilized

Assist with managing and coordinating off-season care for healthy and injured players

Will assist with the management and coordination of medical appointments including imaging, doctor's visits, and related content

Perform thorough documentation of injury evaluation and management in the medical record.

Will assist with management and coordination of physicals and pre-participation screenings

Responsible for maintaining athletic training room supplies, equipment, and related content

Communicating key steps and milestones to all relevant stakeholders within the organization in a professional, timely and efficient manner.

Establish and maintain close working and professional relationships with the medical, sports performance, NHL, and coaching staff

Integrative Responsibilities


Provide a high quality, professional, and thorough service across all aspects of general responsibilities

Timely and efficient completion of any assigned tasks

Regular contribution towards the development and maintenance of the Medical and Performance Department's 'Operations Manual'

Provide educational "in-services" as required on topics suggested by management services, including at least one presentation on the views of an external professional in a field of interest to the group (or alternatively bring that expert in to present directly)

Provide regular report outs on journal articles and conference/course subject matter that is of interest to the group
