WORK DESCRIPTION:

Control Engineering is requiring an experienced System Analyst 3 position that specializes in NERC/CIP Compliance and Cyber Security with emphasis on ICS. The purpose of this position is to support the ADMS and EMS Network infrastructure projects and NERC/CIP Compliance. SCADA/EMS/ADMS is a mission critical real-time system that provides visibility and control for the electric grid.
SCADA/EMS is analogous to the Air Traffic Control System for the airline industry. This position is accountable for troubleshooting, system configuration, designing telemetry interfaces, NERC CIP, interfaces with ERCOT and assisting with system upgrades. In addition, this position will be instrumental and working closely with the Control Engineering Manager on SCADA Control infrastructure improvements and enhancements.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• 8+ years of experience in Excellent communication and problem resolution skills

• 8+ years of experience in in project coordination
• 8+ years of experience in implementing projects from design to installation and during normal operations
• 8+ years of experience in coordinating work with vendors and internally across several workgroups.

Preferred Skills:

• 8+ years of experience with established validation and testing procedures on SCADA/EMS/ADMS
• 8+ years of experience with Interpreting and analyzing FERC/NERC requirements
• 8+ years of experience in performing real time and forensic analysis of network and system logs to identify both operational and cyber security issues.
• 8+ years of experience in Knowledge of Computer Networking and Network security
• 8+ years of experience in Extensive knowledge of DHCP servers, DNS servers, File servers, IIS servers, caching servers, Sniffer Hardware & Software, SONET equipment, Wireless Networking and Ethernet
  wiring.
• 8+ years of experience in NERC CIP V5 standard compliance
• 8+ years of experience in reviewing or interpreting circuit maps, electrical drawings, control diagrams and charts for electrical facilities.
• 8+ years of experience in Understanding of electric transmission and distribution
