CDL Bus Drivers - Jacksonville, FL (up to $10,000 Bonus)

Job Purpose: Direct supervision of drivers under area of responsibility.

KEY DUTIES
  • Daily interaction with the driver workforce.
  • Reviews manpower needs and ensures proper coverage.
  • Responsible for planning of driver vacations, future books offs and run change assignment.
  • Makes sure drivers are properly credentialed to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Ensures drivers are reporting to work on time and in complete uniform ready to work.
  • Review and collection of DOT logs as well as driver ticket envelopes.
  • Works with OSC to ensure operational execution.
  • Monitors on time performance on a real time basis.
  • Reporting on deviations from standard.
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Operations management (1-3 years).
  • Safety and Workers Compensation (desired) Labor relations & CBAs (desired).
  • Training.
  • Interpersonal (required).
  • Counseling of employees.
  • Hiring - Interviews and makes recommendations on driver candidates.
