Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager (Florida PACE Centers)

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining twenty-four (24) hours accountability for the Florida PACE Medical Clinic; Shapes and interprets the philosophy and definition of nursing as it relates to short and long-term planning, program development, resource and budget management, quality assurance and systems utilization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participates in the selection, training, evaluation, coaching and counseling of staff
  • Supervises patient care delivery and staff assignments and ensures that care is consistent with patient care requirements
  • Evaluates compliance with established standards and regulatory agencies and takes appropriate action
  • Ensures that all local, State, Federal and Joint Commission standards, survey preparation and compliance are met for areas of responsibility
  • Ensures compliance with medical record documentation
  • Implements policies, procedures and programs and monitors for compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies
  • Participates in Quality Management Program and risk management activities
  • Ensures both staff and own personal and professional development through attendance of in-services, meetings and continuing education courses


Job Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred


Experience:

  • Five years of progressive experience in clinical positions
  • Minimum of three years of management experience required


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current RN license by the Florida State Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS preferred
  • ANCC or specialty certification preferred


Abilities Required

  • Skills in clinical decision-making, communication, budgeting, program development, human relations, and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Ability to use communication, problem-solving, and clinical management skills to influence staff utilization and motivation, public relations, and inter-and -intra departmental relations
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude toward MJHS residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests
