Job Title: Data Modeler (Onsite)

Work Location: Plano, TX

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of complex data models to support business processes and decision-making.
• Utilize ERWin to create and maintain accurate and efficient data models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee the development and optimization of TSQL queries and scripts for data manipulation and retrieval.
• Guide the team in integrating Python scripts for data processing and analytics.
• Champion the use of Amazon Redshift and Apache Spark for scalable data warehousing and processing solutions.
• Ensure the secure management of data access and permissions through AWS IAM.
• Act as a Redshift DB administrator optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.
• Leverage AWS Lambda and Amazon S3 for efficient data storage and processing workflows.
• Implement AWS DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery of data projects.
• Utilize AWS Glue Catalog AWS CloudWatch AWS Glue and AWS Cloud Formation to manage monitor and orchestrate data pipelines.
• Apply risk management principles to safeguard data and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Drive DB performance optimization initiatives to enhance system efficiency and response times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data modeling and ERWin is mandatory.
• Strong background in the Cards & Payments domain is required.
• Proficiency in TSQL and Python is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Amazon Redshift Apache Spark and AWS services (IAM Lambda S3 DevOps Glue Catalog CloudWatch Glue Cloud Formation) is advantageous.
• Experience in risk management and DB performance optimization is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects to successful completion.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

6 to 9 years of experience

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
