Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Per diem assistant attending of Dentistry with responsibilities of managing endodontic cases in adult patients.
  • Will work in the Adult Dental Clinic on patients both in clinic and Operating Room. Consultation on admitted patients and procedures on OR special-need adult dental patient might be performed as required,
  • Responsible for clinical supervision and teaching of post-graduate (PG) students of the General Practice Residency (GPR) program for advanced didactic and clinical training in dentistry, perform didactic (lectures, presentations and seminars) to PG students are recommended in accordance with Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) requirements.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee.


Minimum Qualifications

Dentists Practicing General Dentistry
Assignment Level I
1. Possession of a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of New York; and
2. One (1) year of full-time licensed experience in the practice of General Dentistry or equivalent experience acceptable to the Medical Board of the hospital.
Assignment Level II / Assignment Level III
1. Possession of a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of New York; and
2. Five (5) years of full-time licensed experience in the practice of General Dentistry acceptable to the Medical Board of the hospital.
Dentists Practicing in a Specialty Area
Assignment Level I
1. Possession of a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of New York; and
2. Currently meets the educational requirements, including residency and/or advanced training for American Board Specialty Certification.

Assignment Level II and Assignment Level III
1. Possession of a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of New York; and
2. Five (5) years of full-time licensed experience in a field of specialty acceptable to the Medical Board of the hospital; and
3. Currently meets the educational requirements, including residency and/or advanced training for American Board of Specialty Certification; and
4. Current approved application on file for admission to the certifying examination given by the appropriate American Specialty Board.
