SUMMARY

The Director - Business Transformation reporting to the Operations Executive will lead a team that employs Lean Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement analytics to transform business imperatives and achieve measurable, significant, and sustainable process and throughput improvements. This key Enterprise leader will oversee the Transformation Team and work with Directors and above leaders to identify, lead, and/or manages Lean Six Sigma project initiatives and business operations improvement. This role will lead the team that organize and coordinate interdisciplinary projects and process improvement activities to enable Grady Health System to achieve its overall strategic vision and operational goals and objectives. Through leadership of the team, utilizes project management techniques and process/quality improvement tools, educates, and develops leaders/managers and staff in the application of Continuous improvement, Lean & Six Sigma. In collaboration with peers at the Director and above level, works to identify inefficiencies and create a process-focused culture with a systematic approach to identifying, prioritizing, developing, and implementing best practices to improve the patient, staff and physician experience in an operationally effective and efficient ways.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor' degree in business or healthcare is required. MBA/MHA degree is preferred
  • Ten or more years of experience in process improvement and project management is required. Must be proficient in the use of Project Management principles, methodologies, and tools as well as industry-leading process improvement standards, IT tools such as Microsoft Suite, project management and database management tools; Minitab software or equivalent. At least four years' experience in an operational leadership role leading a team of direct reports
  • Lean and/or Black Belt certification from an accredited organization.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, negotiating and persuasive skill both in one-on-one and group situations.
