Description

Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Keeps abreast of all the Joint commission standards, OSHA and NFPA regulations, plus other Federal, State and local regulations.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree required. Engineering or equivalent training and experience.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Ability to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.

Minimum Work Experience

Five to ten years progressive experience in supervision and maintenance in installation, construction, equipment, utilities, and buildings.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, building code manuals and bids from contractors.

Required Skills

Valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
