Provide leadership for Supply Chain Procurement Governance inclusive of program structure and integrity, negotiations, contracts, billing, policies, process continuity, and delivery of financial results to ADUSA. Key internal and vendor programs directly in scope for this role include Zero Waste (unsaleables/reclaim), Alternative Sourcing, Vendor Inbound Compliance, Third Party Vendor Governance, and Efficiency Programs. In addition, this position provides critical financial management and negotiations support for vendor facing programs including the ADvantage Collaboration Program and DSD Accountability. This role interfaces with leadership at all levels within the Brands, Supply Chain, and ADUSA to deliver annual revenue objectives as well as efficiency improvements that support bottom line performance.

Essential job functions:
  • Directly oversee a team of managers responsible for critical programs and financial deliverables in Zero Waste (unsaleables and reclaim), Vendor Inbound Compliance, Vendor Program Negotiations, Alternative Sourcing, Contracts and Third-Party Governance, and Vendor Billing.
  • Align with Brand and Supply Chain leadership on critical priorities and financial targets; lead team strategy for delivering against objectives and translating targets into actionable plans at brand, category, and vendor level.
  • Manage end to end financial process and performance inclusive of rate negotiations, revenue forecasting, trend and gap analysis, forward-looking plans and recommendations, vendor performance monitoring, contract terms, audit compliance, and billing across all Procurement revenue streams.
  • Collaborate across Supply Chain and the Brands to ensure all negotiations maintain a holistic view of vendor financial performance and overall business value; develop options that reflect an understanding of all risks and opportunities with the goal of increasing company profitability by taking advantage of our collective scale to serve our shared interest.
  • Ensure proper policy adherence, training, and process oversight for Reclaim, Unsaleables, and Vendor Inbound Compliance (VIC) programs and lead execution across the ADUSA Brands and Supply Chain teams. This person's team will be the single point of contact for all internal teams concerning these programs and is accountable to deliver efficiency and revenue outcomes for the business by leveraging active Brand, Supply Chain, and Vendor participation.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Brand leadership and maintain strong relationships across the Brands in support of internal and vendor supply chain programs; must have a solid understanding of internal policies and processes to support collaborative efforts.
  • Address vendor negotiation opportunities with strategic insight and make decisions on whether to renegotiate rates or remove vendor participation from collaborative programs based on performance.
  • Provide financial oversight for all vendor programs including ADvantage, DSD Accountability, VIC, Alternative Sourcing, and Efficiency Programs, with direct responsibility for continued ADUSA profitability and income from vendor participants.
  • Actively participate in investigation and proposal of new program attributes and additional Procurement revenue streams.

Qualifications

Knowledge:
  • Solid knowledge of P&L, merchandising/category, and supply chain
  • Substantial knowledge of contracts, audit processes, and revenue management
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods

Skills:
  • Outstanding relationship management skills and ability to collaborate across functions at all organizational levels.
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Financial acumen in retail environment
  • Analytical skills and ability to develop solutions and proposals based on data.
  • Proficient in MS Office

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar work experience

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience across two or more of the following areas: CPG industry, Supply Chain Demand Management / Forecasting, Replenishment, Merchandising, Vendor Management, Category Management
  • Solid understanding of all elements, systems, and tools, but not limited to the areas of: Replenishment, Forecasting, Category Management, Retail Operations, DC Operations, Logistics, Transportation, Systems, IT, Finance, and Vendor Management.
  • Extensive financial management experience inclusive of negotiations & contracts
  • Experience in managing teams, projects, and 3rd party relationships.
