JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for providing multi-media (air, waste, wastewater) technical support to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards for assigned plant location. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable regulations as necessary for job function. Responsible for recommending corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist.
Performs and supports work area audits, inspections, incident investigations, and process and facility lay-out design reviews, delivers training, provides risk reduction recommendations and corrective actions. May characterize emissions from plant operations in addition to safety and health hazards. Develops procedures and regulatory documents, assesses risk, and provides technical support on manufacturing and support systems. Follows standard practices and procedures in collecting data, performing calculations, and analysis from which answers can be obtained. Interfaces with security and emergency services personnel, EHS specialists, facilities and manufacturing engineers and operators and management to gather and exchange information necessary to complete job functions.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALISTS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through data analysis
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
THE IDEAL PERSON FOR FILL THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
- BS with five years plus experience and thorough working knowledge of general environmental health and safety policies and protocols
