Responsibilities

This role provides support to Events Team and Department Head.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Provides management of Event leads (phone and online inquiries), assigns to appropriate event coordinator, and posts information to Events Calendar
  • Maintains financial information including reconciling expenses, requesting vendor quotes, establishing new vendors, preparing expenditure requests and purchase orders, and process invoices for payment in line with FSU/Ringling policies
  • Collects deposits, final payments, and damage deposits
  • Compiles data and organizes information for reports
  • Assists Events team members with set up, organization, and planning
As needed:
  • Prepares and processes contracts
  • Assists with annual renewal of vendor agreements
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Skills relevant to this role include:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel
  • Ability to provide advanced customer service

Qualifications

Education
  • HS Diploma or GED and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.
    • Note: Higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.
Skills
  • Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
    • Note: Learning permits are not acceptable.

Considerations

Rate of Pay: The final rate of pay will be based on the education, skills, and experience of the selected candidate and is expected to range from $36,250 to $40,000. Find out more about our comprehensive benefits package under the "FSU Total Rewards" section.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour meal period. This role may be required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, special events, and holidays based on the needs of The Ringling.
  • This position is based in Sarasota, FL.
  • This is a USPS position.
  • This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
