They are searching for a General Manager for the facility in Olive Branch, MS. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 25,000 sq. ft. distribution center and 15-20 team members. He or she will oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit. The General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. The ideal candidate will have experience in distribution and warehouse operations, as well as management. He or she will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure. Responsibilities

•Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain facility

•Design strategy and set goals for growth

•Maintain budgets and optimize expenses

•Ensure adherence to all corporate policy and direction

•Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally and conduct regular performance reviews

•Participate in staffing decisions for the site

•Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance

•Prepare regular reports for upper management

•Ensure staff follows safety program

•Maintain the inside sales function

•Customer selection and key account assignment as directed by Area Manager

•Implementation of sales strategy

•Implement vendor program
Requirements and skills

•Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role

•Experience in planning and budgeting

•Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

•Strong analytical ability

•Excellent communication skills

•Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

•Problem-solving aptitude

•BS/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus

•Valid drivers license with clean history
Work Environment/Physical Demands

•Repetitive lift - frequent light lifting

•Amount of time sitting or standing in place - may alternate and move about

•Stoop or bend - occasionally as needed to access files, records or products

•Climbing ladders, stairs, equipment - ability to access upper floor, office and storage areas
