General Statement of Duties

To develop principles of fair play, a sense of confidence, and self-discipline through the development and extension of interscholastic competition.

Essential Duties

• Prepares players both physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through practice, teaching of fundamental skills, and knowledge of rules
• Supervises the cleaning, storage, and proper care of all equipment
• Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program
• Helps to prepare daily practice schedule and conducts practice sessions
• Attends VHSL clinics
• Follows county financial policies concerning the collection and receipting of funds

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience as a coach or player in the sport for which the candidate is applying.
• Evidence of demonstrated ability to manage and support the needs of high school student athletes.

Additional Information

This assignment is for the 2023-24 SY.

• Minimum Salary - $3,076.09
