The Hospital Services Representative (Blue Coat Ambassador is a key component of the patient/family experience and serves to create a positive first and last impression. This role provides highest level of patient engagement, attention, assistance, and service to our patients and guests from the moment they enter our facilities to the moment they depart. The Hospital Services Representative pro-actively builds partnerships with colleagues in departments across the medical center for the benefit of our patients and families to include volunteers, security, transport services, clinics/practices, etc. These duties include but are not limited to standing greeting guests, answering questions from guests entering or leaving the hospital. Looking up patients for visiting guests and or appointment times plus locations. Collecting and entering data onto Excel spread sheets. Arranging transports and or escorts for guests as needed. Screening and entering guests in the Guest ID program. Tracking concerns and issues that may arise.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and 2 years or more of experience in face-to-face customer service. AHA, BLS required within 3 months of hire. Interpersonal skills. Treats others with respect. Demonstrates excellence and compassion in daily work.

Preferred Requirements

Associates Degree and 5 years or more of experience in face-to-face customer service.
