Job Description:

Our client is seeking resumes for a new position, IT Compliance Specialist, within the IT Security Team. This is a key position to the overall governance, risk, and compliance requirements of the agency. The ideal candidate would possess the experience/aptitude to complete research on federal regulatory requirements and be able to communicate effectively verbally as well as in writing to stakeholders of various backgrounds. This would be a hybrid position, for candidates who are within a communicable to the Fort Worth area.

Requirements-

• Responsible for the writing, referencing, reviewing, and editing of all IT operating policies
• Gathering and tracking audit deliverables for the audits that IT is required to supply deliverables, attend agency audit meetings, tracking deliverables for all audits/accreditation reviews
• Managing GRC(Governance, Risk, and Compliance):
• Completing tasks(capturing evidence)
• Working with internal partners to obtain deliverables
• Ensuring vendors are onboarded and assessed in the risk registry
• Complete evaluations on office locations, software, vendors
• Completion of risk assessments
• Representing IT in various committees throughout the agency
• Provide advisory compliance related guidance
• Communication of deficiencies to IT and/or agency management through KPI development

Required Skills:

• 1 year of experience working in the fields of IT, Compliance, or Audit preferably in a government or healthcare setting.
• A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance or equivalent
• 1 year of experience can be substituted for a degree
• Knowledge of some or all the following HIPAA, FERPA, NIST 800-53, COBIT from an IT Compliance perspective
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Communicating with Auditors in a regulated organization
