Job Duties

Become a member of an experienced team of healthcare professionals in a friendly, supportive environment that provides excellent patient care. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nursing Assistant interested in performing the duties of a Lead Nursing Assistant. Catawba Hospital is seeking to fill a position on the Adult Female Unit.

Successful applicant will work closely with the RN Unit Manager; attend team meetings; provide valuable patient care information, orient new employees to all shifts; and will be assigned special training projects.

A fingerprint-based criminal history check will be required of the finalist candidate for the position under VA Code 2.2-1201.1.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be Licensed CNA in the State of Virginia
Ability to work shifts as assigned
Working knowledge of conflict resolution and knowledge of appropriate de-escalation and resolution techniques
Demonstrated ability to handle conflicting job demands and prioritize appropriately
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences
