The Manager, Investor Relations Engagement is a new role within the IR team at American Express, with primary responsibility to establish a proactive investor outreach program for the company. The manager will also support existing IR deliverables across the team. The manager will have to learn how to navigate the investment landscape, create relevant investor materials, and build relationships with key external stakeholders. To be successful, the manager will need to collaborate effectively with business and finance partners, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, deliver superior analytics, and manage complex tasks in a global organization. This role provides a unique opportunity to interact with the external investment community and senior management.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong critical and strategic thinking, with the ability to think about a "white space" problem, develop a point of view, and a structured program for execution
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and assimilate large quantities of information.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work through complex projects independently. Proven experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skill and an understanding of card economics
- Intellectual curiosity and drive to research a wide range of topics. Familiarity with the competitive and economic dynamics of the payments industry a plus.
- Strong Power Point and Excel skills. Knowledge of TM1 a plus.
