An employer in the Titusville, FL market is looking for a Mechanical Elevator Systems Engineer Level III to join their team. The Mechanical Elevator Systems Engineer will perform a variety of elevator and bridge system engineering assignments in project development, design, operations, installation, and maintenance of systems.
1. Perform engineering tasks association with elevator and bridge systems operations and maintenance, design development, analysis, or review tasks under minimal supervision
2. Support field technicians as needed for assigned systems to include authoring of crew tasking for Maximo work orders
3. Troubleshoot and provide technical expertise for technical anomalies as they arise
4. Address and justify preventive maintenance deferrals of assigned systems
5. Revise and add new asset information in Maximo database specific to assigned fire suppression systems per MAR (Maintenance Action Request) process
6. Provide input to and actively participate in applicable System Health and Readiness Program (SHARP) teams
7. Coordinate and work closely with requester, other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements
8. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
9. Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from concept to final design and commissioning activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
10. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations
11. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
12. Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content (i.e. review proposed designs by others) and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
13. May support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
14. Develop task order requirements to NASA to complete Operations & Maintenance Documentation (OMD) updates per specific, contracted timeframes. OMD updates could be on drawings or job plans for specifically water, sound suppression and fire pumping systems
15. Coordinate and communicate effectively with CAD drafters, Design Engineers, or shop personnel by written or verbal means
16. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
8+ years of experience performing maintenance on elevators for industrial facilities
Experience with any of the following: Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix), Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 Software, GE/Emerson Electric PLCs (90-30 and PACSystems PLCs), GE/Emerson Proficy Machine edition Software
Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification
