Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:
  • Provides advanced level customer service to members and donors, answering telephone and email inquiries, and selling/processing memberships & renewals
  • Responsible for administrative support to Membership & Development Departments including submitting requisitions, creating purchase orders, initiating expenditure requests, producing work orders, and orders/maintains supplies
  • Maintains membership databases and files, communications, and record keeping such as member renewals and gift acknowledgments
  • Produces mailing lists, membership cards, gift and membership acknowledgment letters, and exports/merges data into spreadsheets/reports
  • Implementation of member/donor events and activities to include logistics, staffing, member/donor satisfaction, and working interdepartmentally to achieve goals
As needed:
  • Coordinates Department Volunteers including recruiting, training, and scheduling
  • Attends weekly calendar meetings and other duties as assigned
  • Researches and makes recommendations to improve internal processes and procedures
  • Serves as backup for the FSU Foundation/Ringling Database Administrator and Visitor Pavilion Membership Desk operations
Skills relevant to this role include:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

Education
  • HS Diploma or GED and four years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years
    • Note: Higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate

Considerations

Rate of Pay: The final rate of pay will be based on the education, skills, and experience of the selected candidate and is expected to range from $36,250 to $40,000. Find out more about our comprehensive benefits package under the "FSU Total Rewards" section.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour meal period. This role may be required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, special events, and holidays based on the needs of The Ringling.
  • This position is based in Sarasota, FL.
  • This is a USPS position.
  • This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
