Job Description:

• We are looking for an Enterprise Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.

• You will be part of a software team working on maintaining and enhancing our mission-critical Fixed Income and Equity Pricing application for a high-profile client.

• Your role in this position will include application maintenance of the existing system as well as the design and implementation of new product features.

• YouÂÂÂll also be expected to provide expertise across the entire technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code

• Maintain ownership of code changes across all phases of the development lifecycle

• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications

• Participate in department-wide initiatives outside of primary role:

• Technology stack upgrades

• Resolving audit findings

• Client-driven initiatives

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms with an emphasis in EJB 3.1

• Good understanding of common design patterns

• Understanding of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction Management, etc.)

• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies; EclipseLink (preferred), OpenJPA, Hibernate

• Strong front-end development experience in JavaScript with an emphasis on ReactJS. Other frameworks/libraries such as Angular will be considered.

• Comfortable working in Windows, Solaris, and Linux environments

• Moderate shell scripting experience required; KSH preferred

What will the interview process entail (phone screen, face-to-face, meet with team, how many rounds, etc). What will the interview look like? Is there a test in the interview the candidate should be prepared for? There is no test in the interview

Will this position be remote, hybrid, or 5 days onsite? As you know we are required to come in the office 4 days a week starting in November

Will this contractor need their laptop or will the client provide one for them? The contractor will need their own laptop

Will there be any training provided or would the need to jump right in first day ? Both
