This position will generate top-line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations for the property. Responsibilities include soliciting existing/potential accounts and business generators to contribute to the hotel's overall revenue. Through the use of provided tools, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with both clients and management, be a motivated self-starter, and take direction with a desire to contribute to the success of the property and the entire company. This position will be deployed in the corporate market. The position is currently hybrid, but any candidate should be able to accommodate working on the property as much as needed or exclusively if market conditions warrant it.

The National Sales Manager shall always strive to provide exceptional service to internal and external guests. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture and promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential Job Functions:
  • Secure group business for the resort.
  • Solicit new and existing group accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through business development, telephone solicitation, outside calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  • Participate in sales presentations, trade shows, property site inspections, and customer meetings.
  • Interact with all resort departments in a fast-paced, active sales office.
  • Attend department and property meetings
  • Perform general office duties and assist other personnel as required
Compensation:

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:
  • A high school diploma is required
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel Group Sales is required
  • Working knowledge of hotels/resorts is strongly preferred
  • A good understanding of Sales and Conference Planning procedures
  • Experience with hospitality software preferred

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit for long periods
  • Must be able to frequently perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements.
  • While primarily an indoor job, one must be able to walk outside in various weather conditions (rain, wind, heat).
