As an Occupational Therapist you will provide compassionate care to our patients every day. You will organize and conduct medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part. You will help patients reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:
  • Practicing Occupational Therapy consistent with the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
  • Respecting and understanding the patient's right to treatment and right to be involved in treatment decisions.
  • Evaluating, testing, and administering therapy programs for each patient to improve function with activities of daily living, mobility, health and wellness and reduce pain and discomfort involving physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, ice, water and electricity, as prescribed by the physician.
  • Developing rehabilitation goals and objectives that are measurable, described in functional or behavioral terms, and including estimated or relevant time frames for achievement, considering the anticipated discharge. Completes all appropriate documentation to maximize financial remuneration.
  • Educating patients, families, care givers and other direct patient care providers to assess, instruct, correct, and/or provide information about practice skills and techniques appropriate for all age groups.
  • Confering with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient and keeps them informed of any additional patient needs, treatment notifications and/or progress.


What you will need:
  • Bachelor's of Science or Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Georgia licensure to practice as a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting, skilled nursing or outpatient is preferred.
