Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides treatment to patients across the life span (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) according to a current written treatment plan formulated by the Licensed Physical Therapist within the scope of their licensure with the state of Texas and according to Tomball Regional Medical Center's Physical Therapy Standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides treatment to patients across the life span (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) according to a current written treatment plan formulated by the Licensed Physical Therapist within the scope of their licensure with the state of Texas and according to Tomball Regional Medical Center's Physical Therapy Standards.
- Treats patients across the life span with a variety of diagnoses according to a current written treatment plan.
- Develops methods to achieve identified goals set by the physical therapist using evidence based practices.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team in order to achieve patient goals.
- Educates the patient regarding activities of daily living and lifestyle modifications as it relates to their illness/disease symptoms, in order to prevent additional problems/symptoms.
- Assists with Physical Therapy daily census record and the daily schedule board.
- Maintains or exceeds department's standard for productivity based on procedures/hour.Works as efficiently and effectively as possible in order to help meet the department's productivity standards while still providing quality patient care.
- Delegates and supervises treatment appropriately to physical/occupational therapy aides and other support personnel.
- Documents care and skills performed in the patient's medical record and responsibly records and submits charges for physical therapy services rendered
- Assists in orienting new employees as needed.
- Demonstrates the knowledge to utilize required computer software in order to perform job responsibilities and uses computer equipment/software for business purposes only.
- Attends Departmental meetings and Hospital Town Halls to remain informed on the issues and positively contribute to the direction of the hospital. Will maintain a 50% attendance rate at these meetings.
What qualifications you will need:
- 1-2 year experience preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in the State of Texas
- Associate Degree
- Must be able to work weekend shifts
