Job Title: Production Maintenance Mechanic - Temp to hire
Location: Winston Salem, NC
Shift Work Details
This is a 2nd shift position Typical work hours are 3pm - 11:30pm. Hours may vary based on business demand, with required overtime.
Job Summary
This Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the production equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots automated Fanuc robotics systems, Hydraulic Presses, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems. - Identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. - Diagnose and troubleshoot Robotics, heat treat equipment, induction equipment, pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, air handlers, and other equipment as required. - Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, alignments, etc. - Troubleshoots and repairs heat exchange equipment. - Performs plumbing and hydraulic hose repairs. - Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical issues.- Develops and monitors work assignments for other technicians and coaches as appropriate. - Creates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities reliability improvements. - Utilizes meggers, voltmeters, multi-meters, etc. - Safely operates fork-lifts, hoists, and cranes. - Utilizes safe rigging and lifting techniques. - Performs preventive maintenance on CNC Machinery, mechanical systems, controls, and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).- Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. - Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. - Five years of experience performing electrical maintenance in an industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. - Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in industrial mechanical, industrial technology, related program, or certificate from an industrial electrical course.- Experience troubleshooting and repairing 480V 3 phase. - Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on cranes and hoists. - Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing VFD's, Allen Bradley PLC's, Allen Bradley RS Logix Software. - Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inches. - Experience maintaining a Fanuc robotics automated production line, including specialized hydraulic presses, and driven conveyor systems. - Experience trouble shooting robotic systems, such as Fanuc, ABB, etc.
- Experience with alignments and timing machines using precision calibration tools. - Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Experience using measurement tools such as micrometres, dial indicators, various type gauges, and calibres to set tolerances to OEM Specifications. - Experience performing pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright related work. - Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3 phase motors up 60hp. - Experience with a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (i.e., Maximo, MP2, etc.) - NFPA-70E training preferred. - Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and transformers, calculating conduit fill.
