Responsibilities

OFF CAMPUS HOUSING MARKET AND STAKEHOLDERS: Develop and maintain a map of off campus student housing locations to provide data about where FSU students live when they live off campus, as well as relationships with off campus properties and other real estate resources. Track future development in the city and determine impact on FSU students and University Housing. Schedule, plan, and execute multiple housing fair events through each year in conjunction with College Pads. Stay up to date on best practices in providing off campus services to students, propose and help develop growth of this program.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION: Supported by the Assistant Director for Communications, develop marketing and communications plans and materials to connect students living off campus to university resources that will contribute to their success and retention, as well as programs and materials for on campus residents preparing to live off campus in the future. Manage email address, social media, and other branding for off campus housing. Assist marketing team and Director for Communication and Administration with building relationships with off campus properties.

CAMPUS STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS: Coordinate tenant and lease education with University Housing programming efforts for on campus students who will be living off campus in the future, including but not limited to initiatives through the Residence Education team. Coordinate efforts to educate and provide resources to students and families in conjunction with New Student and Family Programs, Undergraduate Studies, and Student Affairs Offices. Participate in events such as Orientation and Admissions recruiting events. Assist the Director of Communication and Administration with data analysis of retention and success measures for off campus students.

OFF CAMPUS HOUSING RESOURCES: Build and maintain resources online and otherwise that can be accessed by students living off campus. These on campus resources include (but are not limited to): up to date information on transportation (bus systems, parking), Victim Advocate program, FSUPD, academic resources through Undergraduate Studies (Noles Everywhere, ACE), Campus Recreation, University Health Services. Off campus resources include utilities, TPD, and apartment searches.

SUPERVISON: Supervise several OPS student employees. Hire, train, develop, and review performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and basic computer functions.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.
