Northeast Human Service Center - Grand Forks, ND - Residential Occupational Therapist

**Sign on Bonus up to $15,000**

As an Occupational Therapist at Ruth Meiers Adolescent Center, a 10 bed, 24/7 facility, working with youth in a residential setting, you will provide positive mentoring and guidance to adolescents and families impacted by behavioral health disorders.

In this position, you will evaluate, observe, create, and carry out individualized occupational therapy interventions to assist youth increasing their independence. Working with our multidisciplinary team you will participate in planning conferences, in-service education, and team meetings with youth, families, and staff; to provide guidance on sensory, cognitive, psychosocial and activities of daily living needs. Additionally, you will recommend adaptive equipment and sensory materials necessary for the youth to succeed in daily routines. This position participates in a rotating clinical consult on-call shift based on the center needs. You will serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions.

To be considered for this position, applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Requires a Bachelor's or a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and you must also have a license to practice Occupational Therapy or be eligible to practice in the state of North Dakota.

To thrive in this position, you need to have a passion for teaching youth with complex needs skills; creating interventions for home, school and community settings; and support youth to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
