Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Supervisor - Respiratory Therapy to join our team!

DESCRIPTION: The Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and contracted sites under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Therapy and Respiratory Therapy Medical Director. Supervises Respiratory Therapy staff including scheduling, evaluation, hiring, and orientation/training. Oversees the care provided by Respiratory staff. Ensures that services provided are of high quality and are delivered in an efficient and caring manner.

Performs all levels of Respiratory Care under medical direction and Wisconsin License. Interprets patient information and understands treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care. Whenever applicable, demonstrates understanding of the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development and intellectual/language development.

This position works with the Director of Respiratory Therapy Services to develop services along with the drafting and implementation of new policies and procedures.

HOURS: Full-Time 1.0FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly, Day Shift

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of Respiratory Therapy acquired through completion of an Associate Degree of Science from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care, or Heath Care Management beneficial.
• 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist required
• 2 years in formal leadership position beneficial
• An active Wisconsin license to practice respiratory care.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. • Advanced credential in Respiratory Therapy beneficial- ACCS or NPS recognized
• RRT registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care is desired.
• Active membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care
• Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
