Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in the AWS Global Sales (AGS) Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

- Guide team members and business partners on how to execute financing modeling and analysis for new initiatives

- Lead long- and short-term financial planning, including financial reviews with senior business partners (Directors and VPs)

- Manage competing priorities to complete both ad-hoc and strategic projects

- Improve, scale, and simplify finance tools across teams and organizations

- Communicate financial insights (both written and verbal) in a clear and concise manner. Adapt communication based on intended audience to clearly articulate complex financial considerations.

- Promote a positive and collaborative culture.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses

- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
