Technical Writer obtains data and information from review of documentation, consultation with process stakeholders and study of published material.

Technical Writer working with Subject Matter Experts, develop process instructions within a defined format. Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly.
Prepares or commissions process flows to elaborate on or complement technical writing
Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed.
Revises, edits, or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary
Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Work is closely supervised.
Builds stable working relationships internally.
Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in group or department.
Tracks status of documentation (development, modification, approval or release) and reports periodically to supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft SharePoint

Preferred Skills:
• Proven working experience in technical writing of process documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and process flows.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Visio and process flowcharts.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
