JOB SUMMARY
Truck drivers will support of the Pt. Hope Airport realignment project. T he project will re-align the existing runway in Point Hope.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect vehicle components such as fuel, oil, tires, lights and brakes in order to ensure that the vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Safely operate an articulated rock truck
• Obey traffic laws and follow written and transportation procedures.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability and wiliness to abide by the company's code of conduct, policies and procedures.
• Comply, understand, and support the company's safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.
• Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Willingness to work and learn the processes of pulling orders and loading materials on the truck.
• Must be able to take direction when working with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must have strong communication skills with both customers and co-workers.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to safely perform the essential functions of this position.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs.
• Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and a good sense of balance
• Must be able to work a 10-hour shift
• Must be able to with frequency: stoop, bend, and crouch
• Good vision (either naturally or with correction)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• Relocation to Point Hope will not be provided.
• Work on a fast-paced construction project.
• Work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day.
• Night shift work possible.
• Work with and around heavy equipment and hand tools.
• Work in a team environment.
• ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
