This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to optimizing warehouse operations to meet customer demands and business objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse supervisors, coordinators, and associates. Provide direction, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, improve efficiency, and meet productivity targets. Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate inventory records and timely identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Implement warehouse layout optimization, aisle marking, and storage systems to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient material handling.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of inbound and outbound shipments. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues and non-conformances.
- Monitor order processing workflows and fulfillment performance. Coordinate with customer service, sales, and logistics teams to prioritize orders, expedite shipments, and meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors. Schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct safety training, inspections, and incident investigations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and warehouse metrics to measure operational performance, productivity, and efficiency. Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization in warehouse operations. Implement best practices, technology solutions, and workflow enhancements to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics management, with years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and material handling processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of warehouse personnel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and best practices in warehouse safety and risk management.
- Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer service excellence in warehouse operations.
