Description

The Role:

 Responsible for the completion of daily activities required to meet service requirements in a distribution center environment. Maintain product location management within the business systems. Post receipts, track inbound freight & put away, identify & seek a disposition for excess, obsolete, out of date or non-conforming product and processing manufacturing orders. Lead all efforts with picking, put away and packing. Supports all efforts before, during and after a physical inventory.

 

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: 

Maintain product location management within the business systems.

Allocate product and release pick slips.

Perform shipment confirmation.

Control product placement to maximize space utilization.

Move product to gain efficiency in pick and put away, monitoring parts with high frequency usage.

Ensure parts are stored to minimize safety hazards.

Do all the functions of a warehouse person.

Picks, packs, receives and re-packages where needed.

Ensure all business systems match reality of all warehouse activity

. Maintain the business systems so that all moves of parts are reflected accurately.

Stay current on cross training on all business systems.

Maintain company policies regarding computer use in the work place.

Follow company code of conduct.

Obtains material, fixtures and tools necessary to perform assigned duties.

Operates handtruck, handcart, forklift, rolling racks, etc. to move parts and/or units within or between areas of the warehouse.

Recommends tooling and equipment necessary to support production.

Maintains all equipment to insure it is clean, safe to use, and inventoried.

Secures all equipment when unattended to protect others and maintain accountability of all tools. Operates all equipment following safety regulations.

Maintains certifications on all warehouse equipment as required by policy. Helps to support a clean and safe work environment.

Reports unsafe situations immediately.

Puts safety first in all activity, by all individuals found within the warehouse.

Enforce all safety regulations.

Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and annual safety inspection requirements. Assists in training new employees.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

GED or High School Diploma

1 year+ Warehouse experience

Must maintain certification year after year.

Training will be performed for each type of software used.
