The worker will provide analysis of complex network and cloud server systems; and develop long-term strategies to improve the overall performance of these systems. Work involves assessing existing roadmaps and strategies; assessing organization of operational and project teams; establishing a strategic plan with goals and objectives along with tools to measure progress in meeting goals; leading activities to plan and design network and cloud architecture; developing policies and procedures; preparing budget recommendations; and evaluating potential network enhancements. Reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Leads projects and works closely with a diverse group of professional and technical employees.

Worker will perform these tasks:
• Responsible for developing short and long-term strategic plans to ensure network and server capacity, reliability, scalability, and security needs are met now and into the future.
• Works with a team of Information Technology professionals; Leads the creation and delivery of solutions as a Subject Matter Expert; Provides expert guidance to the team on new solutions and designs.
• Conducts research and recommends changes in services, products, protocols and standards to support development efforts and network procurements.
• Reviews proposed solutions to ensure the delivery of a quality product or service to the customers.
• Subject matter expert who acts as liaison between the project user community and IT. Work with client managers to supply proposals and solutions that meet the client's specific needs.
• Review current state architecture for the IT network and cloud server environments and develops recommendations to improve the security, resiliency, and performance of these systems.
• Engages with third-party vendors and leads, directs, and utilizes knowledge on best practices in areas related to networking, cloud servers, and telecommunications.
• Establishes priorities for maintenance, design, development, and analysis of complex network systems.
• Perform current state and future state network service mapping, conducts gap analysis, estimates and plans delivery milestones, communicate plans and progress, and leads cross-department development meetings.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
