We are currently seeking to hire a wage Program Support Technician to work with our Safety Compliance Officer. This position is a great way to break into the Workplace Safety field while learning from an experienced Team. Help support the Department by keeping our employees safe. •Provides assistance to maintaining the respiratory protection program by entering all required documentation to the Occupational Safety databases.
•Distributes information to the appropriate party as needed.
•Provides administrative support to the Safety Coordinator.
•Assists with scheduling and coordinating materials for meetings.
•Provides meeting assistance as needed for Workplace Safety Meetings.
•Assists with tracking expenditures related to the Division's Spend Plan.
•Conducts research on a variety of human resource program issues and prepares a detailed quantitative and qualitative report or brief analysis.
•Provides assistance to other HR program areas as needed.
•Provides support to Bureau of Strategic Governance (BSG) related to the Naloxone Administration Program.
•Provides support to the Safety Coordinator on indoor air quality complaints and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.
•Assists with automated external defibrillator (AED) monthly inspections.
•Serves as a backup to the receptionist when needed.
•Greets visitors and routes telephone calls.
•Maintains filing and prepares correspondence.
•Assists with special projects and other duties and assignments within other sections of the Human Resources Division as requested.
•Assists with management/development of financial planning of grant funding opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

•Working knowledge of office practices, principles, and procedures; of recordkeeping principles and practices governing automated and manual systems; of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation; and of basic project management and research methods, procedures, and techniques to include basic statistics to classify and sort data.
•Skill in operating computers and using Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Access, and Excel; and in operating standard office equipment such as fax machines and copiers.
•The ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision, managing own workload and priorities, and completing assignments; to identify problems and
opportunities, propose effective solutions, and implement approved solutions; to communicate orally and in writing,
expressing ideas clearly and concisely using proper grammar in English; and to develop and maintain effective
working relationships with internal and external customers.
•Graduation from high school or equivalent.
•Progressively responsible administrative experience.
