Job/Department Summary:

Under the general direction of the Program Director, the Senior Program Specialist is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and administration of a broad variety of diverse educational programs offered through PCE. The Senior Program Specialist will assess the educational needs of both on-campus and the wider community with goal of building long-term networks for which academic programming and professional development will meet employer demands and ensure learners are prepared for an increasingly competitive workforce. As the primary liaison between campus and community, this specialist will be the communication conduit and strong PCE representative, coordinating key activities and helping to prioritize resources to expand credit and non-credit opportunities.

Required Education and Experience:

Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with courses in education, technology, and instructional design.
AND
Equivalent to three years of experience in digital technology implementation, continuing higher education program development and operations, and multimedia design.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of academic and administrative procedures and practices within a university setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership in adopting educational innovation and embracing emerging technologies for program excellence.

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $72,228 - $103,020 per year.
