What's the job?

We are a growing Company building our Wood Center of Excellence for our wood ceilings/panels offerings. In line with this, our Strongsville Ohio location is currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager.

The position is salaried exempt and reports directly to the Director of Preconstruction Specialties Products. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, this position manages the execution of Specialties wood ceilings/panel orders from Sales to closeout.

Project Management

- Manages project activities from purchase to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, payments and logistics.

- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Estimating, Design Engineering, Product Engineering and Purchasing to coordinate project activities and resources.
- Validates project plans and scheduling to incorporate any changes by customers
- Manages effective project implementation and delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
- Tracks/monitors project execution to make sure customer requirements are met
- Informs project status, scheduling and key customer issues to site management on a regular basis
- Assist in implementing best practices and standard operating procedures to optimize project management and customer service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels against order volumes; make recommendations for re-order to ensure agains schedule delays.
- Prepares reports as required defining project progress, problems and solutions

Customer Care, Service and Support
- Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and accurate responses/updates on customer inquiries, project status, milestones and deliverables
- Coordinates with customers to develop project plan including project scope, release schedule, milestones, deliverables, etc.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve customer service processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What do you bring?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Admin, Marketing, etc. required
  • 7 or more years in project management/customer experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing/building materials industries (wood) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build/maintain customer relationships required
  • Ability to read/interpret technical information (architectural drawings, technical information) required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
