• Day to Day: Service Delivery Engineers (SDE) travel to client sites - could be with a particular client/project for 1 day, 2-3 days, 1 week, etc. depending on project complexity... continually assigned to new deployment projects with Dell clients. Blended onsite and remote work.

Initial 3-6 month contract with Right to Hire

(Engineer will be part of an internal bench. ~3-6+ month contract to hire)

Must Have Skills:

• Data Protection Solution (DPS) is the primary skill set. Resource must be able to do hardware installation and implementation.

• Please submit candidates with at least 3 of the following skills:

- Data Domain

- IDPA - 5xxx, 8xxx

- Avamar

- PPDM (PowerProtect Data Manager)

- Cyber Recovery, nice to have

Capabilities prioritization:

• Configuration skill across DPS suite.

3. Avamar - implementation

4. PPDM - implementation

5. Cyber Recovery/Cyber Sense implementation

6. Hardware Installation - Rack, Stack, Power, Ping (iDrac)

Preferred Skills:

-Networking and/or file experience, Switch experience.

-Experience with any other Dell EMC platforms such as: PowerStore, ECS, Data Domain and/or Unity a plus.

Engineer will be responsible for delivering infrastructure deployment services to our customers including the physical installation of hardware and the logical configuration of operating systems and software products either as the sole person and/or as part of a team. Engineer will be expected to consume training quickly and start deploying our products in a short period of time.

Required Skills

• Understanding of backup and recovery applications and processes.

• Understand the operation of Data Domain including but not limited to:

• NIC management and routing, and LACP/IFGROUPS

• Basic networking including basic routing and SMTP forwarding

• Linux administration

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Unquenchable desire to learn new technologies

• Strong Customer service skills

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Able to perform physical installation and cabling of rack mounted servers, storage and switches

***Blended Onsite/Remote. Role includes up to 75% travel, 25% remote on average. Must provide own vehicle for local travel. Travel is usually by vehicle, but some air travel is possible. Candidate must be willing to travel if necessary 80-100%. Will be reimbursed for actual costs.
