Position Summary

As a Training Specialist, you will play an integral role in facilitating and executing employee training programs for the Operations Department. You will get the flexibility to design and organize training courses by combining creativity, research, and analysis of existing materials. Curriculum planning and enrollment coordination will provide you with an opportunity to work with other departmental professionals and employees on an interpersonal level. You will also have the chance to collaborate with other talented instructors to lead training and oversee employee participation. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizes a training curriculum that honors company ethics and conduct, is engaging, and allows trainees the maximum opportunity to participate.
  • Facilitates training as directed by a Department Manager within customer service or operations.
  • Assign learners to courses both in the classroom and through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assists in the development of training reference materials and tools.
  • Evaluate teaching methods to select the options that will aid in the delivery of concepts without unnecessary distraction, downtime, or confusion.
  • Contributes to the instruction and presentation of training courses and assesses how effectively different methods and materials are at encouraging interaction and participation.
  • Prepares training locations by ensuring instructors have all the tools, technical equipment and resources needed to effectively teach a course.
  • Responsible for documenting changes to training material and sending updates.
  • Oversees general administrative duties, such as coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations and sending invitation information to all trainees.
  • Creates scorecards for new hires and assesses their ability to work independently.
  • Oversees nesting environment to ensure new hire success.
  • Partners with leaders on refresher training courses to improve team efficiency.
  • Develops training surveys to gain insight on how effective courses are.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferred not required.
  • 1+ years of training and coaching with a proven ability to facilitate technical training.
  • Pharmacy Technician License (PTCB Technician Certified) preferred.
  • Training certification a plus.
  • Train the trainer certification will be required within 60 days of starting new role.
