Day in the Life of a Materials Engineer

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to solve difficult problems. From tiltrotor technology to modular complex electronics systems, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs and functions, to bring vertical lift solutions to our customers. We have numerous opportunities available, from driving technical decisions on material and processing applications for design, procurement, and manufacturing; developing materials and processing specification; analyzing and testing metallic and composite materials required to establish design allowables, to developing efficient, robust, and repeatable production processes and driving advancements in the Aerospace Materials sector. At Bell you will have the opportunity to combine your passion and knowledge to solve some of the worlds most difficult challenges required to bring rotorcraft products to market. What You Will Need to be Successful

• A Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in one of the following pathways:

o Materials Engineering

o Mechanical Engineering with Materials & Structures focus

o Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

o Metallurgical Engineering

• 0-2 years of relevant experience

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Aerospace coursework and/or exposure to projects related to the latest advancements and research in Aerospace Materials Sector

• Material property data generation, analysis, and interpretation with either mechanical or chemical materials.

• Lab experience with mechanical, physical, and chemical property testing at a raw material, coupon, or component level; including preparation of test plans and engineering reports.

• Exposure to production processes and controls in a low volume, high complexity product environment.

• Extracurricular activities or jobs will be taken into consideration.
