The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) Instructional Assistant Professor position with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning fall 2024. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program and be required to teach four (4) courses per year; serve as the lab manager for the Electromagnetic labs housed in Wisenbaker Engineering Building in rooms 157, 159, 164 and 167; help with and/or teach capstone design courses and laboratory courses; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. As managing lab director, the individual will provide oversight of the Electromagnetic labs to three main laboratory activities: design, visualization, and undergraduate/graduate education; microwave diagnostics and testing; and fabrication, assembly, and antenna characterization. In addition, they will develop an industry-standard equipment management plan for the labs; introduce and sustain a culture of training for other faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows; create processes for facilities sharing that ensure quality access via use of an established set of rules for usage; and help design and develop a lab website for training and usage scheduling. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications
For appointments at the Instructional Assistant Professor level, applicants must have a master's degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field.
