Inter Miami CF is seeking highly motivated individuals capable of assisting in the operation of the Club's equipment management team. This intern will work under the close supervision of the MLS Equipment Manager assisting on a variety of critical activities to support the team. Equipment Management Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical and valuable learning experiences in a variety of roles, broadening their knowledge of all the facets of equipment operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Gain an understanding of academy equipment teams operational tasks including equipment preparation, field layout and cleanup for home and away matches.
  • Acquire skills in special assignments including but not limited to inventory/warehouse management, product forecasting and data analysis.
  • Learn thermal label making and heat press applications.
  • Gain experience in prepping and maintain organized, clean equipment and boot rooms.
  • Support in logistics of any practice and game day preparation and execution needs such as logging, notifying, or addressing player or staff requests for equipment, supplies, or facility needs/issues.
  • Assist staff with various administrative tasks such as inventory, storage, and distribution.
  • Gain experience in building soccer goals, shelving units, replacing nets, and any other duties that are deemed necessary within the basic guidelines of being an Equipment Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an interest in working in sports. Candidates receiving credit for participating in our internship program are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment is required.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of accountability.
  • Possess a positive, outgoing, engaging and professional personality.
  • Strong understanding and passion for the sport of soccer is preferred.
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours in nontraditional settings, including holidays, nights and weekends.
