Account Executive

The Account Executive serves as the agency liaison with the client to ensure that the client's needs and objectives are achieved through execution of strategically grounded retail marketing programs. Primary role is development, implementation, financial management and post-analysis of promotional programs in conjunction with client and/or customer personnel. A successful Account Executive will deliver measurable results to the client for their brands through flawless program management. Additionally, they must be able to collaborate effectively to deliver on mutual client and retailer objectives. Results will be obtained through effective communication and superior follow-up with the client, customer, internal agency and all third-party vendors.
Responsibilities:
  • Align and prioritize tactical activities to support strategic sales plans
  • Support sales through daily analysis within CRM
  • Establish, monitor, and control costs that impact sales margins
  • Perform project management duties including program tracking, timeline development and management, budget management and reconciliation, post-promotional analyses, and internal and external reporting
  • Interface with the client on a regular basis to plan and manage programs and events; the amount of interaction with the client will be prescribed by the needs of the specific client service team and client relationship
  • Develop effective client and retailer relationships to facilitate communication and execution with internal departments, including creative and production, to ensure that client deliverables are successfully achieved
  • Coordinate with clients, creative, production, logistics, sales, and retailer teams to effectively meet deadlines and goals
  • Responsible for managing the creative development process and ensuring all concept, graphic design and copy elements are completed with the appropriate communication priorities and client approvals
  • Create strategies for email & push marketing campaigns across customer lifestyle segments
  • Manage incremental media campaigns
  • Troubleshoot and monitor operational issues
  • Oversee the development of reports (i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews) for all necessary stakeholders to review and improve business impact
  • Lead sampling production for the total brand
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Indirect Reports
  • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in shopper marketing or retail marketing programs
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Experience with P&L responsibility (budgeting, forecasting, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience working with major retail chains such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and/or experience in consumer package goods industry is a plus
  • Experience in beauty, pet, or baby categories is a plus
  • Experience in subscription and/or box programs is a plus
