About the Position The Golden State Valkyries are looking for hardworking and proactive sales professionals to join our growing staff to launch WNBA season ticket memberships to the Bay Area community. As an Account Executive, you will sell and service new season ticket accounts via in-person and phone-based outreach, self-generate and prospect new leads, create new ideas to increase ticket sales, and perform basic office functions as needed. In this role, you will also sell partial plans and or group ticket as needed as our season ticket base grows. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Ticketing & Events. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise while learning more about this growing sports and entertainment organization that values your initiative and dedication! This is a full-time position based onsite in Oakland with games in San Francisco, CA. Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the sale of new season ticket accounts, eventually including partial ticket packages and group tickets
  • Cultivate relationships with current accounts and broaden outreach to prospective clients
  • Implement creative outbound sales efforts via prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals
  • Provide unforgettable customer service to all current and potential clients
  • Attend majority of home games to service current accounts and sell new ticket prospects
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6 months of sales experience preferred, regardless of industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn and master new software including Salesforce and Archtics
  • Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Passionate about the growth of women's sports
Time Commitment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
Compensation
  • $18.07 per hour + Commission
